This project involved the delivery of comprehensive highways and public realm works, including utility diversions, earthworks, and full carriageway construction. The scope incorporated the widening and construction of new roads, footways, cycleways including laying of new kerbs and road markings as well as installation of swales systems to support sustainable drainage. Works were carefully coordinated around existing trees, with bespoke accommodation measures implemented where required. Environmental considerations were integral throughout, including the protection and reinstatement of adjacent SINC and RVEI habitats and the installation of new soils in accordance with the approved landscape management plan. The scheme was completed with new tree planting and landscaping, delivering a high-quality, sustainable infrastructure improvement.
