FORT WALLINGTON

Workman LLP

Fareham

Fort Wallington in Fareham dates from the Victorian era when it was constructed as part of the defences for Portsmouth. The Gorge Wall and Guard House are the only remaining sections from the original building and these are now part of an industrial estate and have a Grade II designation. The structure required extensive remedial/repair works. Millgrove Construction were approached by the owners agent and after a successful negotiation process Millgrove were appointed to carry out the necessary remedial works to the brickwork and stone features. This involved carefully sourcing materials to match those originally used.
