The River Wallington forms the northern boundary of the Berewood residential development in Waterlooville. Over time Berewood will comprise in excess of 3,000 new homes with associated community facilities (School, Pub, open space, leisure areas etc)

As part of the overall planning approval for the Berewood development, there was a requirement to restore/realign the River Wallington including creating a landscaped buffer zone between the river and the adjacent residential and employment areas. The works include creating paths with seating, litter bins, and a number of pedestrian bridges to cross the river. Attenuation ponds are also to be formed to allow the flow of water from the new development in to the river to be managed.

Millgrove were awarded the contract by Grainger plc for the works after submitting a lump sum tender in competition. In conjunction with WYG (Project Managers) and Mayer Brown (Designers) the works are progressing and are due to complete in the summer of 2020.
